• It's a 5 quart bowl. The most I have tried in my Artisan 5 quart, is 2 batches of cookie dough or 2 cakes. I am sure it could handle 3.

• I haven't tried it with a double batch as I use one from Betty Crocker recipe book that I think is superior and only Guittard chocolate chips. I do think a double batch would be a cinch..
