“Is it 450 or 525 watt? The specification says 450, but picture says 525 watts? Recently I purchased this, print on my mixer says 525 watts? I checked the KitchenAid web site same specifications, 450 watts!?! but again there posted picture says 525 watt!?”

I bought mine in-store. It was the Professional 5 Plus--the one pictured instead of the one described. It is 525 Watts. As far as I can tell, it is a step up from the one described but for the same price as described (they didn't even have the model described in the store).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So it appears KA upgraded the motor on this model from 450W to 525W. They must have realized they needed more power to match the rest of the specs for the model in question. Always good for reliability, and therefore, for consumers as well.
