“Will the sound quality of the sound bar be affected if it is recessed/ flush mounted into a wall as long as i leave 1/2" gap around it? are there any speakers on the sides or top of the soundbar?”

There are no speakers on the sides of top. There are controls on the top though. And 1/2 might not be enough to reach them because they are in the back. But, it shouldn’t affect the sound at all.
