• Yes. I have mine hooked up to Alexa and a smart hub to tell her to turn on and off the speakers.

• You can plug the Alexa into it with a normal 3.5 cable. Then anything you ask Alexa to play , comes out sounding terrific.

• Yes it's Bluetooth I found it easy to pair. It's too easy actually anyone can within range, if your in a dorm I see it being problematic I would wire it if that's the case. Doubtful they'll fix it anytime soon.
