“I have limited space to place the sub-woofer. If I put it on the floor under my computer desk, will ventilation be a problem? Space is 10" high x 27" wide with an open back. I read a review on Amazon where someone had an over heating problem.”

As long as there is space for the heat to escape behind and above the box, it shouldn't be a problem. The only place I feel heat on mine is on the back of the box. FYI - There are reports online that a loud "thump" occurs when the woofer is plugged in, or when power is restored that can damage the woofer. Just make sure the volume is ALL the way down before you plug it in, and leave the system on/plugged in (recommended by Klipsh). Maybe also turn the volume down when not in use as a precaution for a power outage. Well worth extra effort... The system sounds great!
