Would suggest use RCA jack L+R audio out on your receiver. Need a 1/8" female to dual RCA male stereo adapter. Then plug the 2.1 1/8" cable in. Might want to check if the 2.1 will work without its satellites. You might want to consider the smaller Klipsch subs for audio systems if your receiver has a subwoofer out. Then can control the crossover frequency either on the sub or the receiver if supports that. My Yamaha RX-A1020 AV receiver has dual sub out that I have hooked up to 2 massive Klipsch R-12SW powered subs.
