• I would use the rms not the peak. If John uses a window fan (200 watts) 4 hours a day for 120 days per year, how much does it cost him to run his fan per year? 200 X 4 X 120 = 96 kWh 1000 96 kWh X 8.9 Cents/kWh = $8.16 per year

• I have no idea how much electricity it consumes while in operation, but it has a setting that puts it in a standby shut down mode when the receiver is off.

• You can not tell because all powered woofer use different technology on the board for connections. you do not have to worry about electricity consum because of your Amps or receivers.

• The sub is independently powered using your normal wall power outlet. The power usage will not be an issue because it will not use any additional power other what is included with the sub. The internal amp fully powers the 300 watt sub.
