You might want to check both ends of the cables at the inputs. A loose connection might be responsible for this. All grounds (that is the outer metal connector on an RCA plug) must connect with the jack. You might also look at the power plug to the last amplifier before the sub-woofer. If the the two blades are the same width, reverse the plug when you re-install it into the wall or power strip. Turn everything off before you do this, then power back up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am getting a hum in mine like you are describing. I bought the sub from Best Buy yesterday. Right now I am doing some research in some isolation transformers or something that will suppress the noise. It doesn't even have to be plugged into the receiver as long as the RCA is plugged into the amplifier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine does not, with our Yamaha Receiver, but we don't set ours particularly loud. Have you checked your receiver settings?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could be a grounding problem. I would try different cable.
