“Does this sub have a ground screw on it? if not would it be ok to use a audio quest black lab subwoffer cable without using its ground wire to hook to my Sony avr? Just making sure it’s ok to use this cable with included ground wire without actually using”

The included ground is for use with older subwoofers typically .. with the shielded cable you shouldn't need to use the ground .. my cables are not grounded... . Running two of these subs from a denon x3700h..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had mine running about a year and 1/2 without the grounding wire - have had no problems. In fact, I just bought another one of these subs. This is not a professional response, but I think you'd be ok. Mine is plugged directly into a wall socket but my other components (Yamaha receiver, etc.) go through a dedicated surge protector.
