“I have this sub and it is fantastic in every way but when I turn it up sometimes it shuts off for like half a second, usually right at the bass drop or in an explosion during a movie. Is this a problem with my sub, my receiver, or the cable I am using?”

Start with the cable. How old is the receiver?

Please try again later.when this happens look at the sub, you need to find out if it is the sub or the sending receiver which is loosing the signal. you can tell by looking at the led light in the front of the sub. also check your connections, looks like you are loosing contact as the bass hits hard.
