“I notice alot of the images sent in by people that have bought this speaker DO NOT have the black dust covers on the speaker...is that a good idea? Can they be punctured easily? Because these are spendy and don't want them trashed...”

I only took the cover off to photograph the Speaker. Cover on or off does not affect the speaker's sound.

I'm sure if you have a kids or large pets you would probably want to cover them up. The woofers are made of a stiffer material compared to the paper cones used on older models. That being said, be mindful of where you plan on placing them, don't run with scissors, you should be fine.

The others covered you right for what they cost I don't want any thing near them .plus in halve lit room they blend in .COVERS

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Usually people take the face covers off, for a picture to show the speakers, otherwise no one would see the actual product, just a black covering over the face of a tower speaker.
