• Yes, you can mix match brands. It will sound really good and you might want to then get a set.

• Yes u can use it. It’s not very loud at all. I wasn’t impressed with how much it put out. For the money I wouldn’t recommend this speaker. Honestly I can’t tell that it’s even on. I got it more for looks to complete my home theater.
