- Answer This comes with a carrier that you put that negative into to slide through the scanner. You should be able to do this

- Answer Yes, this can scan 2x2 slides. The scan resolution can be selected 14 megapixels to 22 megapixels.

QuestionDo you need a computer to use it or can it be used independently? Does it use a USB port only?

- Answer You have to put in an SD card it seems, even if you don't intend to use a computer. It has HDMI out, so you can skip the computer and put the image right on your TV. It will show the slide on its built-in screen if you just want to preview slides.

QuestionThe pictures are saved to a file. Can the pictures be reordered? Can info such as names, places and dates be added? I have 35mm slides, old tin types and photographs. Will the scanza digitize all of these? Is there a size limit on photos, ie 8x11 etc

- Answer This scanner only scans 35mm slides and strip film. I recommend a Epson V19 or similar for flatbed scanning. The Scanza pIctures are saved to a memory card in jpg format. The unit has a set naming convention by numbering the pictures. After you copy the files to your computer, you can rename them. You can remove the memory card and use it to get prints. I recommend copying the pictures to computer, rename files and then you can copy to a thumb drive or burn to a CD. The files are in JPG.format.

QuestionWhat is the resolution of the digital pictures scanned from 35 mm color slides?

- Answer You have two choices of resolution: 14meg and 22meg. On the 22meg setting, my 35mm scans produce a 4.5mB file with 5728 x 3824 pixels, which yields about a 9.5 x 6.4 inch photo at 600 dpi. Been fairly happy with the resolution and clarity of the resultant scans.

- Answer It does not have a usb port, so it only scans to an SD card (which is not included). I have had some good success, though, in uploading from the SD card to my computer.

- Answer The instructions only mention 8 and super 8. It does not make a video file from a film. It has no audio reading capability. I think each movie frame is like a slide image to it.

- Answer Hello Suzie! There is no way to directly save to your computer's memory, it must be saved to an SD card, then transferred to your PC via a USB SD card adapter.

- Answer Hello jim! Just about 3 35mm slides can be in the slide tray at a time. The tray has slots on either end This way slides can be inserted without having to remove the slide tray.
