A: Main difference other than price is the resolution : V800 has 4,800dpi resolution while the V850 has the resolution of 6,400dpi. Another thing noticed, the V850 is working faster than the V800.

V850 Pro Photo Scanner
It does a perfect job scanning pictures and slides. The quality is great. A black and white old picture turned out better than the original. Easy to set up (read all the instructions.

Super Scanner
This photo scanner is the "best buy" for the price. It has several different templates that accommodate from small film to oversize negatives, which is the one I needed. It is very user-friendly and easy to understand the scanning process. Some of the negatives scanned were over 60 years old and the quality of the scan was amazing. The only complaint is that Best Buy did not accept our 501(c) status and taxes were charged. Highly recommended the product.

V850 scanner review
Very easy to use. Does a great job scanning older photos. The slide mounting fixtures make it a breeze to scan a dozen slides at once. Very fast.
