“how long does it take to fully cool when empty using the AC adapter in a house with an ambient temp of 72? We drive 3.5 hours to a cabin and would like to plug this in the night before we leave using the AC adapter then switch over to the cars DC.”

We plugged it in at home the morning before we left on our 8 hour trip and it worked great. We also put a couple frozen ice packs inside to help and that worked great. Great investment.
