It is not practice to use a cooler and ice so having a mini fridge was the best solution. I did lots of online research and the Kooktron 12v seems to have the best overall reviews for refrigerator life, functionality and space. It's been 6 weeks and I'm loving it. I start out Monday with frozen dinners and by Wednesday night they are just starting to be thawed - food lasts a good long time.

Excellent cooler

The motor is so quiet, we didn't hear it at all in the car and hardly heard it in the motels when we plugged it in the AC outlet overnight. Kept all our items very cool throughout it all.

Great for Travel

A great cooler for long trips
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put a couple of frozen water bottles in the bottom of the cooler then I filled it with cold bottled and canned beverages. Ten hours later everything was still cold. the next morning everything was still cold. It doesn't get much better than this.

Great cooler!

Works Great

There are several 12v cooler types available and my peers have had issues with longivity. I will keep an eye on things and report back if issues develop.
