Can I use this to chop onions? null

It will slice or shred, not really chop.

Yes, but kind of a hassle. Not very fast and have to cut onions into small pieces first. A larger food processor works better, in my opinion.

Yes. Works well with fresh raw onions.

I haven’t tried onions but the slicer blade should work well if you put the onions in the hopper the right direction.
