Works with bluetooth out of box.When your outside just touch the lock,the blue ring will spin and door locks,same when entering.Hub would be used then your away from house and you want to open door

Please try again later., Currently, you can remotely unlock/lock your Kevo 1st or 2nd generation from the app on your compatible smartphone if you are within 30 ft. or Bluetooth range. The Kevo Plus allows you to remotely unlock/lock the Kevo from farther away than 30 ft. The Kevo Plus connected to an internet router is necessary for remote access to the 1st or 2nd generation Kevo and is compatible with both locks. The Kevo locks have to be within 100 ft from the Kevo Plus.
