Basically mounted a post into the ground in the middle of the yard set the rain gauge on the post and tied it down with some bungee cord. That way the rain gauge doesn’t blow away if the wind gets pretty strong.

Please try again later.using the provided screws, and removing funnel of rain gauge casing from it's base (battery compartment), you would screw the base onto a level surface and at least 3 ft above the ground. Keep away from runoff locations or under foliage for accuracy.
