• Yes, if it has a USB C drive in the back. If not you can get a USB C to USB adapter and it should work fine.

• This product had a usb-C to usb adaptor, at least mine did! Works on USB 1.0-3.0 so you should have no issue on a 2012 iMac as long as you have USB slots available
