Possibly, it is heavy, I use it when sitting in my recliner,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it will. I use it on my lazy-boy chair or couch. It is very sturdy. As for neck strain, it's legs can be adjusted to three (3) different heights, but you would have to balance neck comfort with typing/mouse-use wrist angle comfort.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One it would have to depend on the couch you have, if it's firm or how deep back it is. I use mine in my bed ok, and when it's by me while I am on my computer watchiing netflix I have it on a table tray (the ones with legs and adjustable heights and the tray.) I would suggest a table tray as well if you do find it's not stable. I would say a table tray is good and it doesn't slide around on mine. The part with laptop does lift and whatnot so it's great, and it's durable.
