Does this filter air and does this rotate? null

The fan does rotate and comes with a removable permanent air filter. I usually vacuum it every couple of weeks or when the airflow noticeably tapers off. I wouldn't consider the fan to be an air purifier though. The filter appears to be in place in order to prevent buildup of dust inside of the machine.
