• No thermostat. Has two levels of heat . Also can be a fan with no heat. Can be use in any room in house and garage. I even use in patio. Got a nice blowing fan of heat or no heat.

• Yes, it does have a thermostat and it works well. It is not labelled in degrees, but little dots around the dial much like many kitchen toasters. You'll have to experiment until you find a comfortable setpoint.
