Hello Shel, Great questions! The integrated rear rack on the XP4 has a heavy-duty max weight capacity of 150 lbs. You can absolutely install a child seat! Once they outgrow a traditional child seat, you can also look into our Buddy Seat option to carry your favorite co-pilot!
