No secure closure of any kind, that is the only reason I was unable to give it 5 stars, other than that it's a great case. Good Luck!

As far as protection goes it mainly protects phone & screen from scratches, protects it when you carry it in purse, pocket, backpack or briefcase. Will not protect from a drop unless you get lucky & it doesn't flip open.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it doesn't have a magnetic closure so it probably won't protect your phone if dropped, it will protect your phone from scratches from putting it in & out of your pocket, purse or backpack. Good Luck!
