Absolutely. Not sure how it works but it does have a connection with the phone so that it shows the time and incoming call information in LED pixels through the cover.

Both w/i one yr have simply stopped working. 2nd one i was able to disconnect phone from case , restart my phone & then put cover back on & everything reset. this time it went from working this morning to not working @ all. Phone hasn't been moved since last night. Such a shame b/c i live this case when functioning properly. i can assign icons to certain callers, c time, ff or rewind music, also display missed call or let me know i have a text message. Now out 120.00 for 2 covers. I have SINCE read (today) there are an unbelievable number of people w/ the same issue or other issues.
