The LED lights are powered by the phone's wireless power share ability, which uses the same coils that the phone needs to receive wireless power as well. Not a big deal if you've got the phone mounted in a wireless charging mount in your car, but could be an issue if you want to use it at your bed side as the flap being open means the phone will light up the room with every inbound call or message/notification unless you've got it on DnD.
