The pieces are small so experience following instructions and putting Lego sets together is helpful.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is mainly due to having lots of pieces and tiny ones at that. But i strongly beleive if a teenager has a thing for buolding and "reparing" they will enjoy this set all the way.

Other than that, the age that they put on the sets is much more of a recommendation than requirement. Also bases on the audience in which is more than likely going to purchase it. Not many children would be too interested in this set I'm guessing.
