Can I actually play the game boy!? null

No, unfortunately there is no way to actually "play" the games. But, all the buttons and the wheels for volume and contrast on the side can be moved. So in a way if does feel like it could work but alas it does not.

Yes, there is a modder on YouTube that was able to make it happen.

While it is a 1:1 scale as it is sold it is not a playable console. Some have made it into a playable console, but it isn't sold as a working model. All parts including the game paks are made of lego and non functional. This is a display piece only and includes no electronic parts.
