How do you apply the adhesive tape? null

You can do it one of two ways. Decide where you want the strip and put the tape there OR you can put the tape on the bottom of the strip and lay it where you want it to lay.

Putting this on carpet I am unsure of the ability to make the tape stick properly. When I put this on a carpeted area, I lay it down, put some weight on it in order it will lay as flat as possible. It's important to get the strip to be as flat as possible. But, when I put in on a tiled or similar surface, that's when the tape works its best.
