This will depend on the requirements of the programs the student will be using. The school's web site might provide some direction. Concerning more solid state storage space for this device, there is a Micro-SD card slot that can be used to add up to an additional 128GB of storage space. We recommend you check with the software publishers for the programs that the student will be using, for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 32-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not recommend it for college. High school is fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you need memory on the machine than it doesn't have anywhere near enough. If you connect to the cloud for storage you could get by.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No way. Not enough hard drive space, memory or processing power.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would be great for processing simple documents and web browsing. It would not be able to support many software programs outside of that. Check with your student's college program to see if they have any requirements for computers. Students who are enrolled in programs such as engineering and design would need something like a gaming laptop in order to support the software that they will need to use.
