• It will depend on the requirements of the programing software you will be using and the requirements of that software. We recommend you check with the software publisher for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

• No the AMD series even though semi-speedy are no I5 or even i7, which is what you'll definitely need. Spend a little more and get one of those. If you notice all AMD series processors are very cheap in PC's. That's why. Also some are just to slow to even use for everyday tasks.
