• You would need to plug it in to charge it, but once it is charged, you should be able to use it on the battery (unplugged from the outlet) for a few hours.

• There is a battery within this laptop, so you can charge the battery and work on battery power, unplugged. This model has a battery life of up to approximately 3 hours, depending on the work the device is doing.
