I use a professional service to clean out "bloat ware" and back up data and then re-install. I paid for a thumb drive and an hour of time, and they used that. It's not that complicated to copy what you want from one machine to another. You could also purchase Laplink software and connectors. That was the best alternative I found when I did it myself.
