I travel for work so the HP 15 laptop is great. If I were to improve this item, I would have the keyboard light up so I don't have to turn on the lights at night when I'm working. :-)

My son wanted something that could do minecraft, skype, and browse the internet with good performance. For the price this is a bang for the buck. The AMD A8 processor with 6GB of ram is good enough for internet based gaming; actually we were able to play Titanfall on this thing in low detail with great performance, as well as other multimedia functions. Overall the build quality is very nice. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop provided to me by my work. The trackpad on my work laptop absolutely sucks. Especially for a laptop that cost more than $2k. This budget laptop trackpad is probably the best trackpad I have ever used on a laptop! Overall I am very impressed and this was a steal at the price I paid for it! (sub $400).

For under $350, this laptop is a good value. The quad core A8 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 5400rpm HDD are fine for basic web browsing and light office use. The laptop looks good, and has a slim <1" design. Decent keyboard and trackpad. The hard drive and RAM are relatively easy to access if you decide to upgrade either in the future. Three screws to remove the bottom panel, and you're there. There is a decent amount of bloatware installed by default, wish companies would stop doing that. But if you know how to do a clean OS install, it's pretty easy to take care of.

My first AMD processor computer/laptop, normally I stick with the i7 processors but couldn't pass up on the price for AMD A8 processor. $249.99 loads up great after the first initial setup. It's great for the kids use and bang for your buck. They still sell Intel celeron and pentium processor and there cost is $199-499 which I wouldn't waste my money in those cuz it's to slow. Me particular I don't like the software that the companies install. I just delete them. Battery might be to weak but Other than that it's quick

Got this laptop on sale at $80 off, which I thought was a very good deal. I bought it for my high school son and he is very happy with it. Compared with his old laptop, this is very fast. All the games he plays ran without any problem at all. And it's able to handle all his school work. I'm only concerned a bit by how much it heats up compared with his old laptop. But still, I highly recommend this!!

Great laptop at low price- my 2nd Lenovo -a solid brand, has WIN 8.1 easier for me to use. Excellent processor A8, fast ,extra-thin design,6 GB Ram, HDMI port, and a USB 3.0, deal also included 365 all for $249 as a deal of the day! Also used my BB card- 6 months ZERO financing. I use this laptop for emails and the web- perfect for me. This is a mid level laptop at a base price. I have had it for 3 months and don't regret it at all. Good luck...

I'm rating this computer 5 stars because it outperforms expectations. There are definitely computers with better/faster hardware, but not for this amount of money. If you want a good machine that runs well on a budget, this is a nice investment. Everything ran right out of the box. The upgrade to windows 10 was hassle-free. It takes a little bit of time to uninstall some of the lenovo pre-packaged applications, but they aren't that bad either if you don't want to take the time to install your own familiar software. Hardly any bloatware. Trial of McAfee was the only thing that didn't belong. Everything else was full version software from lenovo, not trial.

This is a great PC for users ranging from beginner to intermediate. It's got enough power with the A8 APU and 6 gigs of RAM for pretty much anything other than hard core gaming. It does have decent enough graphics power for med to low settings on newer games and med to high settings on older games. I was also looking at an A6 and 8 gig version of this computer but opted to get this one because it's a lot easier to upgrade the RAM than a CPU and so far I haven't noticed a need for any more RAM. So I have to say I am pleased with this unit, especially for the price and even more so after I got rid of all the Lenovo bloatware.

I bought this for my 14 year old son and it is quite a powerful machine for the price. It runs games fairly well at low graphic setting and all the typical applications/programs such as MS Office without any issues. For the price under $ 300, I don't think anything can beat price vs performance.

I recently purchased the Lenovo 15.6” AMD A8 series because my previous laptop stopped functioning properly. Price was my biggest concern while looking for a new one. After using this laptop for a little over a month now, I have determined that this laptop is a very good laptop for the price with many great qualities and only a few minor faults. Performance: I was hesitant to buy this laptop only because of what I have heard in the difference between AMD and Intel Processors, but in hindsight, I didn’t need to hesitate. I didn’t need a whole lot of processing power from the computer, as I mainly use it for simple internet use and word processing/ spreadsheet use. For what I use it for, I have had no problems with the speed of the laptop. The internet speed has no lagging and the buffer speed for videos is very good. I’d imagine if you need a lot of processing speed, you may not want this laptop, but I don’t think you will find very much more speed than the Lenovo in this price range. The only downfall in the performance of the computer is that I have had the memory get very high a couple of times which does impact using the computer. A simple restart has fixed the problem both times it has happened. Layout/Design: I have always had bigger screens for laptops for the functionality of being able to have 2 or 3 windows open at a time. The difference between this laptop and my previous one is that the Lenovo has a numerical keypad on the right. This feature is great for anybody who uses Excel or Access. This has made using the laptop very much easier than my previous laptop. The one fault of this laptop design is the design of the front of the keyboard/mouse pad area. It’s indented leaving 2 very thin ends that are uncomfortable on your wrists if you are typing for an extended period of time. Price: The laptop is outstanding for the price of it. This is the best feature of this laptop is that it is one of the cheaper laptops you can buy that has the features that it does. This is the best laptop I have had and it was very affordable. I would definitely recommend it to somebody who is working with a budget around $300.

I got it on sale for $250. For something comparable to an i3 processor, I think it performs what I need very well. Sometimes laggy on touchpad though, as it will freeze up for 10-20 seconds.

This laptop works good (smooth and fast) and it's good for gaming (I played LOL and Ragnarok with it), but the screen hurts my eyes and the camera is also bad so I couldn't take pictures and film videos. So I had to return it. Other than that, I had no problems with it.

I bought this laptop in July and paid $279. I liked the specs on this computer, 6GB Memory - 500GB Hard Drive. I didn't need anything spectacular because I am not a gamer; I just needed a laptop for school work and for surfing the web. I did do some research before I bought this laptop and most of the reviews were very favorable. This laptop is fast at least for my needs. The screen is sharp and crisp with beautiful color rendition. The battery life is ok, I get about 3 hrs before I charge. I really like this laptop and would by it again.

Bought this laptop a while back and bought a second one just recently. Great laptop especially for the specifications and the cost (Bought this on sale). I can actually game! I took one star off because this laptop is rigged with bloatware. I formatted the hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional using a windows 7 professional ISO that I have. If you need the the ISO all you need is any windows 7 product key and you can download it from Microsoft. Had to find all the drivers online and install them of course. I was planning on updating them anyway. It is about a 1/2 to 1 day project, but is well worth it. This Laptop runs flawlessly especially without all the bloatware background programs running and eating up cpu and ram resources.. I can even play Counter Strike GO on this!

Still sleek looking laptop with 6G ram. I intended to buy a 14" but the price difference is huge. For less than $300 this is a good deal. A8 compares to an I3 and it fast enough for all my internet and email.
