Yes, this computer is capable of expanding up to 16GB. There are two slots for memory on this motherboard. One contains an 8GB DDR3 Memory module, the other a 4GB DDR3 Memory module. To upgrade you would need to purchase a matching or compatible 8 GB DDR3 which will replace the 4GB and install it. If you have any technical experience replacing components within a computer, this is an easy upgrade. If you do not or are unsure of what you're doing, it is best to have Geek Squad or other professional do so for you.
