Hey GG, This pen is not compatible with the Flex 5i Chromebook Plus, as it is designed for use with Lenovo Windows based 2-in-1 laptops. Best Buy does currently offer the Lenovo USI Pen 2 that's designed to work with 2-in-1 Chromebooks like the Flex 5i Chromebook Plus.
