I think this would be a perfect college laptop. The hard drive is large enough to handle all your needs, enough ram not to be slowed down, and a very sharp large screen. I'd recommend this laptop to anyone in college. May not be all that great for gaming and such but for a serious user of just about anything else I'd go with this one any time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It would work well for college. You may want to purchase flash drives or add more memory though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you can find it for under $300 and get used to the WORST keyboard/mouse ever. Don't buy without trying the unit a lot. Everything is shifted left and some keys made smaller causing problems for old time touch typists. Otherwise go with a standard keyboard like Thinkpad, HP, Toshiba, etc. Otherwise this unit has good screen size, graphics, storage, and processor speed. It would be a great buy if they didn't screw up the keyboard and mouse position/design.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably if you can get it at a good price ($300) AND your student can get used to the WORST KEYBOARD/MOUSE ever. Don't buy it before you try it, but if you can live with the keyboard shifted to the LEFT and a mouse pad that is poorly designed and placed then go for it. Otherwise, STAY AWAY. Look for other brands at similar prices with standard keyboard designs if you can find one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES!! I bought this unit and use it in classes I teach.. It is a solid performer at a great price!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not really. I would get at least an i5 processor and at least 8mb of ram. This machine is too slow.
