Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.since i have been working this issue with the lenovo usb-c to hdmi 2.0 adapter (ASIN B07NBY4BQT Item model number GX90R61025) i have tried many things - windows updates, swapping the adapter into another machine(didnt work either), have read all the specs and docs about this. this is supposed to be plug and play so there is something else wrong. think it sounds like a compatibility issue but lenovo sales couldnt seem to convincing say the adapter was or was not...considering docking station at this point

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, kate. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with using external monitors on your IdeaPad. To clarify, the USB-C port on this IdeaPad does not support DP Alt Mode or video output. To connect two external displays -- let's call them Monitor A and Monitor B -- Monitor A can be connected with a standard HDMI to HDMI cable, and Monitor B can be connected via a USB (3.0) to HDMI adapter, then an HDMI cable from the HDMI end of the adapter to Monitor B. Hopefully this helps! If not, please let us know so we can try to assist you further.
