Not for any video. Extremely slow on internet. Just use it for offline world, excel etc.

Once you start the streaming, the ChromeCast does the work and free's your smart phone up for other things. You then only use your smart phone to pause or change the stream. Google's Chromecast with Google TV comes with a remote control so you don't need anything extra to stream to your TV with the new Chromecast with Google TV. It costs $49.99
