If you are using a mouse that connects via Bluetooth, you'll have to add it via your Bluetooth settings. Open the Start menu and type in Bluetooth, "Bluetooth and Device's Settings" should appear. If your mouse relies on a dongle (a dongle being a separate wire linked to the computer apart from the mouse), these tend to be USB. Find a USB port on the computer and plugging it in should work. Do note that for older USB ports, the USB connector can only fit one way.
