Switching from S-Mode to the standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system will not slow the device down. The software you install on the device after the switch may. We recommend you check with the software publisher's web sites for the software you want to install on the computer, for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration. Please keep in mind, this is an entry level, light use system with its Intel Celeron processor. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for Microsoft Office (there is a 1-year free subscription included with this device) and light internet browsing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Like the other reviewer said, it all depends what programs you install after upgrading to full windows 10 home. I uninstalled McAffee anti virus and just using windows defender--already installed with windows 10. I use it for travel so I don't take my Macbook Pro on flights. I use outlook and word and have several tabs open and download PDFs to send out using outlook mail and so far have not had an issue. sure the more tabs i open the slower things get, but thats most computers. Other factors contributing to any slowdown are strength of internet connection, browser used, and size of files one is working with. This wouldn't be my main laptop for serious work but for travel and browsing it's perfect. I played videos on Youtube and no buffering issue.
