“I am surprised that a machine this inexpensive has such a high speed on the processor. Is the speed correct? How is this possible? Speed is the most important thing to me. I assume this is possible (high speed & low cost) by cutting out frills. Thanks!”

The war between Intel and AMD's Ryzen series is blowing the lid off. Performance is rising while the prices keep dropping. When the Ryzen 9 hits the market, the prices will keep falling for the Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5. It's like the 80's all over again. 4 months and your computer is "out of date".
