• It has 1 ram slot populated with 4GB, the other 4GB is soldered to the board, so you can upgrade the 1 SODIMM from like 4 to 8 to get to 12GB. Also be aware that the VEGA on board video takes 2GB of usable memory from the system so 8GB is really 6GB, if you upgraded to 12GB then you'd still only actually have 10GB
