I transferred by copying files onto a large enough flash drive (or an external portable drive) snd plugged into usb of laptop and copied files over to the 1TB hard drive. It is formatted NTFS which is what you want. Leave the small solid state drive for the OS and programs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would only use the small 128GB solid state drive for the OS and programs. I put the files I wanted to transfer on an external hd and then transferred them to the 1TB hard drive. It is already formatted NTFS.

Please try again later. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 Laptop, model number 81W000NGUS, ships with the Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System installed on the 128 GB M.2 2242 PCIe 3.0x2 NVMe solid state hard drive, therefore it is the default storage location. To change the default storage location to the 1TB 2.5 inch 5400RPM mechanical hard drive, here is a link to instructions for setting up a new default storage location for your files: https://www.howtogeek.com/245706/how-to-change-the-default-hard-drive-for-saving-documents-and-apps-in-windows-10/#:~:text=To%20get%20change%20your%20default,locations%E2%80%9D%20section%20on%20the%20right.
