“I have connected an external monitor via HDMI, but it doesn't work, in the display configuration no display is detected, do I have to do anything extra? I also tried with the windows key + P but it doesn't work. Please help!”

Could be your cable, try a new cable first. If it was new then port might be messed up

Here is a link to a YouTube Video that demonstrates the proper setup of an external HDMI monitor to a Windows 11 laptop, please note - In this video the laptop used has an external display HotKey in the F4 position on the keyboard, your Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 has this same HotKey in the F10 position on your keyboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AInZAU6R3kI.
