how do you get the 10 key to work on this laptop? null

Make sure you have the NUM Lock feature selected. There is an LED light embedded within the NUM Lock Key that will indicate that the NUM Lock feature is selected and currently active. With the NUM Lock Feature turned on the 10 Key Pad will now input numbers rather than the secondary features indicated on the keys.
