• U cant void warranty by opening laptop it unlawful so yeah u can open and add ram dont mind this tricksters

• This model does not support dual channel of memory , so there is only one slot of ram that can handel upto 16G of ram and if you want to upgrade , you will remove the 8G of ram and put a new one with 16G
