• Sadly, I seriously doubt that any laptop sold today will ever ship with a reliable HDD. Rather, the market has shifted to a downgrade in regard to crappy little SSDs with low capacities and short life spans. What I would suggest you do is never keep original data on the SSD. Then make nightly/daily automatic backups to a WD MyPassport USB 3 powered HDD. These now come with capacities up to 6 TBs.
