The answer is yes. However its not easy. I did it myself and there are no youtube videos on how to do it. You have to open the front screen
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to remove 7 screws on the back under the kick stand. Luckily no adhesive or stickers covering them! This allows the bottom of the screen to easily come forward and you can remove the rest of the screen with a spudger. Sounds daunting but was actually very easy! Definitely designed with drive replacement in mind. No adhesive or replacement parts needed. One sided 2242 is the only size drive that will work well. You could probably use a 2230 with modification but I'd advise against it. Also go for a single sided drive. You could use a double sided if you remove the lenovo squishy heat sink but you might have thermal issues. The squishy heat sink "connects" the ssd with the back of the unit.
